Dare to Facilitate came about as a book all because I challenged myself – no, dared myself – to pen it in just six months!

I wrote this book for fellow facilitators like you, with a simple goal in mind: to provide you with creative ideas and to inspire action. Think of this as a resource packed with ideas and challenges inspiring you to try different ways of facilitating – and to get even better at it!

This book isn't your average boring textbook. I want Dare to Facilitate to change the way we think about facilitation. Its creative, bite-sized format is designed to spark inspiration on the go, cultivating a new way of learning about facilitation.

My personal motivation runs deeper than just this, though; it's also for my daughter, Vera. This book symbolises my commitment to crafting a better world for our children. Its purpose extends beyond simply the words themselves; it's a tool to empower the facilitators who are shaping our future.

Dare to Facilitate is something my contributors and I have worked on together as a team. When you read each chapter, you'll see many different viewpoints and diverse ways of doing things. This is what makes this book really important, because with each dare you do, you'll become stronger and more daring.

And now, the question remains: Truth or Dare?

Jenny Theolin is a renowned expert who helps people learn more effectively. Calling upon her wealth of experience from around the world and background in design, she creates effective, engaging, and memorable learning experiences for organisations, schools, and non-profits.

The power of people working together sits at the core of all Jenny’s work, and she frequently brings others together to devise new and creative solutions. In fact, this is much akin to the artful curation exemplified by this very book!

“Jenny Theolin make learning design and facilitation look easy. Combining energy and enthusiasm Jenny creates dynamic and safe settings that nurture exploration and support development of team performance, as well as individual growth. Execution and delivery is as important as planning and structure to Jenny – but what make her stand out is the curiosity and heart she brings to the table.”
